Vince Stratful

Vince Stratful is Chief Technology Officer of Managed.com, where he looks after the infrastructure the business runs on: the data centres, servers, network, hardware, and corporate IT. He has spent more than twenty years building and scaling web hosting and cloud platforms, in senior technology roles at HostPapa and Site5.

Vince runs the physical side of the business: data-centre operations, the company's racks and power, server and network engineering, and the hardware lifecycle. If it has to stay up, it's his: uptime, service-level agreements (SLAs), and how fast things recover when they break, along with the capacity planning and the cost of keeping headroom in the right places

Vince has spent his whole career in hosting and cloud, in senior management and technology leadership roles across platform engineering, product delivery, and operations. He joined HostPapa in 2016 as Chief Technology Officer, running Technology, Engineering, and Product Delivery, and led the rebuild of the company's platform architecture. He has also been closely involved in HostPapa's acquisitions, bringing in and integrating the Lunarpages and Add2Net hosting brands, and closing and transitioning the web hosting and logo design businesses carved out of Deluxe Corporation, whose Hostopia brand remains a core part of the group today. Earlier in his career, Vince was Chief Technology Officer at Site5, where he led the technology side of the business and helped prepare it for its acquisition by Endurance International Group.

Beyond infrastructure, Vince is a sounding board for the rest of the business: reviewing architecture, setting technical direction, and running technical due diligence when the group buys something. He looks at technology the way an operator does: how platforms are actually built, where the technical debt is hiding, what will hold up as it scales, and whether the team and the architecture can deliver what the strategy promises.

Vince is also Senior Advisor, Technology at Opie Capital, where he helps assess technology businesses: the diligence, the platform strategy, and the practical questions about how a company actually runs.
